Main

Main missions progress the story and can unlock new areas to explore.
Side

Side missions are nonessential to the story but can give good rewards.
Challenges

Challenges consist of several different specific tasks to complete, rewarding the player with xp, credits, and potentially a discount if the challenge was given by a trading station.
Jobs

Jobs are short side missions offered by job boards at certain stations.
